First thing this morning Mog got to work in installing the flume for our wood fire! By 4 o’clock we were all cooking! Just seeing the flames makes you feel warm! One of the best features yet in The Boatyard Bar, makes the place feel even more homely!
Another busy day with the market, Chris is back with his fresh fruit and veg stall. Great quality produce with the great prices to go with it. Cheapest available in Nerja to my knowledge! A steady amount of people popping in and out all day with most having a bite to eat… Fish & Chips taking top spot once again!
Spanish lesson started with 5 new students! 20 students in total now! It began with a grueling translation test eg. THE BOATYARD IS ON THE PLAYAZO BEACH. How many of you know how to say ES or ESTÀ for the word IS? If you don’t maybe you should think about joining the lessons! Anyway the answer is ESTÁ. Why? Because in this context the sentance refers to location!
The Boatyard Bar Vs FSNB
Tonight The Boatyard Bar hosted the pool game against FSNB (the girls team). A great turn out with plenty of jokes and heckling going on before the games even began! First game was Luke, and a stunning game he played taking the frame and putting The Boatyard ahead 1-0 also his first victory in the singles! The hardest game of the night in my eyes, going first with a load of females giving it the large! Well done m8! The last game of the singles and the score is 3-2 to us! Matty steps up to the table looking for his first victory! Matty is playing Jo and is leading the way. The black is left and Matty has left the cue ball behind one of Jo’s yellow balls… A foul is looking likely! In true Matty style he nominates his bag (middle left). Everyone goes silent thinking how is he going to do this? Matty sykes himself up for a near impossible double. He strikes the cue ball, it rolls all the way upto the top cushion and back down, clips it and…. it sinks! The Boatyard roars! 4-2 to us and Matty finally wins a game! Half time refreshments and guess what we serve up… Cod & Chips… The doubles begin and The Boatyard dominate it winning all 3 games and taking the match 8-2! Well played to all the players Boatyard & FSNB! Another great night!
Quiggy and Ray from Shambles have entered and are up for the challange… Norman and Skeef take them on and WIN!
Watch out Shambles… lol
