The Boatyard Bar is Nerja’s Live Music Venue

Live music in Nerja could never be stronger, every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday we host live music but from June The Boatyard Bar will have live music every night of the week!

Wednesdays : The Jam Session

Fridays : Bands

Saturdays : Karaoke

Sundays : The Dixie Swing Band

A  wide range of local artists enables us to give you varied acts each night of the week . Country music to rock bands and skiffle to jazz. We host it all!

Live music nights as a rule begin at 9pm and finish at 12am.

Our bar is fully equipped with a Yamaha 1kw PA System controlled by a 10 channel mixer. We have built an outdoor stage to accommodate our musical events. Extra lighting and the band / artist slightly elevated has created a great atmosphere for you to enjoy them and there music.

There is room to seat over 150 + people, yet we have still managed to leave enough space for a dance floor!

During the summer months we have an outside kitchen area / BBQ which can serve anything from hamburgers to paella as well as many other snacks!

The Day Festivals

Mayday Madness

On the 1st of May every year we like to think that summer is coming and that its time to get warmed back up and get the summer vibe rolling! Starting at 2pm we have 3 bands on to take the live music all the way through to 12 midnight!

The B Festival

The B Festival was our first ever live music day festival! Last year in August we hosted 5 bands in 1 day and the result was a full Boatyard Bar with a great atmosphere. The line up was Broken English, E111, After Dark, Stiletto & Not To Fall headlining. The weather was great, the BBQ was cooking all day and we realized that this was a day of entertainment at its finest! We intend to continue this, consider it a Boatyard Bar tradition!

Battle Of The Bands

Every September we host Battle Of The Bands! A chance for local musicians to battle it out to be crowned king and receive a huge cash prize! Last year we had over 10 bands enter, Spanish and English! The variety of music was great and everyone had a great day! Minority won Battle Of The Bands 2009 who you can see at this years May Day Madness! This year we intend to extend the competition over multiple weekends and offer a larger cash prize!
